Director of Education Programs: Michael Campbell, MS, APR Michael spent 20 years as president of several international consulting firms advising and training businesses, organizations and governments. He has designed and led major programs in support of people with disabilities and behavioral health problems. Michael has been a frequent speaker and retreat leader (200+ retreats) on topics of personal and spiritual growth. He has a Masters of Science degree in leadership and ethics. Clinical Supervisor: Lisa Ivory, BA, CAC Lisa has extensive experience in the design and management of effective treatment programs for drug and alcohol addiction. She has served as a counselor for hundreds of people striving to find the path to recovery. For seven years she was responsible for a large and successful addiction outpatient program that she designed and managed. Her experience also includes many years of work with women who have been victims of sexual assault and violence. Lisa studied psychology at Penn State University and is an internationally certified alcohol and drug abuse counselor. Medical Director: Tom Baumgarten, M.D. Dr. Baumgarten has extensive experience working with people suffering from addiction and behavioral health problems. He has held senior positions in centers with large detox programs and understands the treatment strategies that create a strong road to recovery. Dr. Baumgarten holds a degree in psychology. He received his medical degree from the Loyola-Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago and his post-graduate training in internal medicine at Christ Hospital and Millard Fillmore Hospital. He is a specialist in emergency and pulmonary medicine. Psychiatrist: Satish Amirneni, MD Dr. Amirneni has 27 years of experience as a psychiatrist working with addiction and behavioral health concerns. He serves as medical director and staff psychiatrist at several facilities. His practice has included all areas of psychiatry, with strong experience in addiction and the co-occurring conditions. Dr. Amirneni has extensive training, including postgraduate residencies at St. Louis University School of Medicine and hospitals in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Counselor & Nurse: Carolyn Brumbaugh, RN, MSN, PMH, CNS-BC Carolyn has extensive experience working in the fields of behavioral health and substance abuse as a nurse, counselor and educator. She has served as a clinical manager in a large facility and been the liaison between counseling and medical staff. Carolyn is certified in nursing and as a Co-occuring Disorder Professional. Her scholarly work includes studying the relationship between depression, anxiety and chronic pain and the development of anger management training programs. Physical Therapist: Bill Hanlon, PT, DPT, MSPT, OCS
Vice President, Admissions & Business Development: Van Earl Wright Van Earl is a familiar face and voice to millions of Americans. He was the sports anchor for CNN and anchored a nightly sports news show for the Fox Sports Network. After almost 20 years in the broadcast industry, he left to pursue his own recovery from addiction and made a commitment to help others on their journey to a new life. Van Earl has worked with Cirque Lodge and New Found Life, becoming a strong advocate for residential recovery programs.
