Recovery houses are typically alcohol and substance-free homes for people who have transitioned out of inpatient care for substance use disorder (SUD). Once there, these individuals have the opportunity to grow in an evidence-based, structured living environment that helps them cope with real-life stressors, gain necessary long-term recovery skills, and receive social support from peers in a similar position. In November 2023, the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) made an announcement alerting the state to its 300 licensed recovery houses.
Lawmakers may be hard-pressed not to notice how much Pennsylvania needs more recovery housing and easier access to medically-assisted detox and recovery treatment options, especially in light of the fentanyl overdose crisis. St. Joseph Institute is here to help fill some of these treatment gaps as affordably as possible. We’re often in-network for Blue Cross/Blue Shield and other popular insurance plans that cover the majority of our full 30-day program.
If you’re not insured, don’t worry. We partner with M-Lend, a financial organization that creates payment plans and streamlines treatment approvals at our inpatient center in Port Matilda and our outpatient center in Wexford, Pennsylvania. We can set you up with them if need be.
We Combine Science, Empathy, and Faith to Serve You
Our recovery care options can treat the following disorders:
- Substance Use Disorder (SUD): No matter the type of substance problem you have, we believe recovery starts with compassion. Our programs offer structure, support, and tools to help you build a better life long-term.
- Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD): Alcohol dependence can quietly take over your entire life, eroding your health, relationships, and self-worth. At St. Joseph, we help you reclaim your power through individual therapy, group support, and whole-person healing.
- Cocaine Use Disorder (CUD): The elating highs of problematic cocaine use often lead to deep crashes and overwhelming cravings. We work with you to address emotional triggers and develop tools for long-term recovery.
- Fentanyl Use Disorder (FUD): For your loved ones, your fentanyl use can look like you’re walking a tightrope at lethal heights with no safety net. We offer a safe space for detoxification and a fresh start, with medical support and personalized guidance every step of the way.
- Heroin Use Disorder (HUD): Heroin dependence may feel impossible to break, but you’re not alone. We help you find your footing through detoxification, therapy, and a personalized care plan that evolves with you.
- Methamphetamine Use Disorder (MUD): Meth highs can create chaos in your nervous system. Our approach helps you find peace again, with therapy focused on rebuilding routines, relationships, and self-esteem.
